Your story hit close to home. I’ve been divorced about 3 years, and my 6 year old lives half the time with her mom, half the time with me. But holidays, and some “family oriented” events, are still strange. For me, not for my daughter. She’s growing up great, and well-balanced kid, and I couldn’t be happier. But yea, sometimes it sucks. Friends and family helped, and I actually sucked it up and kept doing big family things (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve) and answering the uncomfortable questions. After a while, it all became a new normal though. Thanks for sharing, cheers!
